This piece was created via the gel plate mono-printing process whereby a flexible surface (gel plate), a brayer (roller), fluid acrylics, heavy duty Japanese rice paper, stencils and a myriad of other textures and marking tools can be use. Layers of paint are rolled onto the gel plate and by using stencils and other marking tools, the artist draws onto the rice paper and creates her one-of-a-kind designs.  Those objects and in this case the blooms are cut out and collaged (pasted) onto the canvas. The piece is then sealed, wired and ready for hanging. The image is painted around the sides so no framing cost is required.
